Our story,

The company was founded in Varese in 1964 by Lucio Reg\u00e8 (1928\u20132016), an industrial chemist with deep expertise in plastics and synthetic resins.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

THE BEGINNINGS<\/div>\n\t\t\n\t\t

Lucio Reg\u00e8 founded La Master Italiana in 1964, just as plastics were beginning to transform industrial manufacturing. In the 1980s his son Lorenzo joined the business. The company moved into new sectors and began to broaden its expertise considerably.<\/p><\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div>\n\n

With Lorenzo Reg\u00e8 Metelerkamp on board, always working alongside his father Lucio, a new chapter of growth began. Our reach spread beyond northern Italy to cover the whole country.<\/p>\n

The work itself became more diverse and more complex over the years, moving from industrial production to the food sector and on to design and art.<\/p><\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div>\n\n

More recently, we turned our attention to specific markets abroad. We built partnerships across Europe, South-East Asia, India, North Africa and the Middle East.<\/p><\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div>\n\n

Today the company is led by Luca Reg\u00e8 Metelerkamp, Lorenzo's son, who carries the family business forward with his father at his side.<\/p>\n

La Master Italiana remains active in every area of plastics manufacturing, and it keeps a close eye on the challenges and opportunities the market brings. Multidisciplinary expertise, technical skill and a well-structured organisation allow it to take on a wider range of work than ever before, with challenges far more varied and complex than in the past.<\/p>\n

The innovative method<\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n
<\/div><\/div>\n\n

In the 1960s, Lucio Reg\u00e8 devised an innovative method<\/strong> for making \u201chis\u201d first masterbatch (GR)<\/strong>, using know-how of his own invention and a modified machine.<\/p>\n

The result? A masterbatch produced without exposing the compound to thermal shock<\/strong>, so its properties were fully preserved.<\/p>\n

That technology is still used for certain applications today. Over time it was joined by the classic pellet<\/strong> and by other physical forms, each one created to meet a particular need.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

Our headquarters houses a dedicated production department<\/strong> and a well-equipped laboratory<\/strong> for masterbatch and compound research.<\/p>\n

In recent years we have made choices that helped us grow<\/strong>, including a new department fitted with latest-generation machinery.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We work exclusively with co-rotating twin-screw extruders<\/strong>, chosen because they represent the most advanced approach to masterbatch production.<\/p>\n

This technology lets us serve large companies with high-volume runs<\/strong>. It also lets us produce refined creations with special effects, and even colours made for artistic use.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n
